ED Temporary Closure – October 9, 2026
Alberta Health Services (AHS) will temporarily close the Emergency Department at the Central Peace Health Complex because it lacks clinical operations staff and cannot secure temporary coverage.
From 10:00 am to 7:00 pm on Friday, October 9, the Emergency Department will have no clinical operations staff available. Nursing staff will remain on site in Acute Care.
Signage will be placed at the front door stating the closure. Patients are asked to call 911 if they have a medical emergency.
